Display name:Srv
Service name:srv
Type:filesys
Path:%WinDir%\System32\DRIVERS\srv.sys

Group:Network

Default Behavior

The Srv service is a file system driver. If Srv fails to start, the error is recorded into the Event Log. Windows Vista startup proceeds, but a message box is displayed informing you that the srv service has failed to start. At least one service depends on Srv. Therefore I do not recommend you to disable it.

Dependencies

Srv will not start, if the Srv2 service is stopped or disabled.

If Srv is stopped, the Server fails to start and initialize.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
