Default Behavior

The Microsoft IPv6 Protocol Driver service is a kernel mode driver. If Microsoft IPv6 Protocol Driver fails to start, the error is logged. Windows 8 startup proceeds, but a message box is displayed informing you that the TCPIP6 service has failed to start.

Dependencies

Microsoft IPv6 Protocol Driver won't start, if the TCP/IP Protocol Driver service is stopped or disabled.
