Default Behavior

The Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service runs as LocalSystem in a shared process of svchost.exe. Other services might run in the same process. If Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service fails to start, the error is logged. Windows 8 startup proceeds, but a message box is displayed informing you that the TabletInputService service has failed to start.

Dependencies

Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service won't start, if the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service is stopped or disabled.
