Default Behavior

The Windows Defender Firewall Authorization Driver service is a kernel mode driver. If Windows Defender Firewall Authorization Driver fails to start, the error is logged. Windows 11 startup proceeds, but a message box is displayed informing you that the mpsdrv service has failed to start.

Dependencies

If Windows Defender Firewall Authorization Driver is stopped, the Windows Defender Firewall service fails to start and initialize.
