The Offline Files Driver service is a kernel mode driver. If Offline Files Driver fails to start, the error is logged. Windows 10 startup proceeds, but a message box is displayed informing you that the CSC service has failed to start.
Offline Files Driver is unable to start, if the Redirected Buffering Sub System service is stopped or disabled.
